Monday afternoon there was a BCMS 3-on-3 girls basketball game. The teams were Erin, Syd, Lena and Cheyenne vs. Mallory, Jordan, and Abbi. It was a game to remember.
Abbi and Erin guarded each other tight. There is a rivalry between them and they were pretty rough on each other throughout the game.
The game was close until the end because Mallory was on fire! She didn't miss, collecting all of her team's 8 points and most of their rebounds, crashing the boards and boxing out on almost every shot. Her 4 rebounds also led the team. For the other team, Cheyenne was playing well. She hit a shot from back near the free throw line with Mallory's hand right in her face.
Abbi had several blocks on Erin, but Erin finally put one in at the end. The officials of the game were doing well with the fouls in this physical game, but missed many travels. The game might have ended up the other way if they were called.
In an interview after the game, Mallory was asked how it felt to be the leading scorer on the winning team. She answered, "It felt great!" The final score was 8-4, with Mallory's team coming away with another big win.
