Write a prayer for your favorite team. Be descriptive and detailed. Base the style and the amount of words off of the Lord's Prayer. Below is my example from last year's class, and below that is the Lord's Prayer from Matthew 6.
"How Then Should We Pray?"

Our Father in heaven,
do you care about this game?
When your kingdom comes
will sport be done
in heaven as it is on earth?
Give me today courage to confront
the #1 doubles tandem,
as they refuse to work a first serve in,
refuse to attack the net with the abandon
that they attack the uninitiated freshmen.
Forgive me my laziness, my dying hopes,
as I forgive their laziness and lack of focus.
And lead us not into confusion and dissension
but deliver us into unity.
"The Lord's Prayer"
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.
